Discover the beautiful art of French beading in this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop in Essex & Suffolk.
Using colourful glass seed beads and wire, I'll guide you step by step through the traditional techniques used to create beautiful three-dimensional beaded flowers. You'll learn how to shape individual petals and leaves before bringing the different elements together to create your finished flower.
No previous beading or jewellery-making experience is needed. Everything is explained as we go, with plenty of help and encouragement along the way.
During the workshop you'll create your own beaded flower design to take home, with the number of flowers depending on the project and your individual making pace - flowers that will stay in bloom all year round!

What is French Beading?
French beading is a traditional technique used to create decorative flowers and leaves from tiny glass seed beads and fine wire.
Rather than threading beads onto fabric or string, the beads are threaded directly onto wire and shaped into individual petals, leaves and floral elements. These are then brought together to create beautiful three-dimensional flowers.
It's a wonderfully absorbing craft, combining colour, pattern and simple repetitive techniques – and once you've learnt the basics, you can use them to create all kinds of beaded flowers and botanical designs.
